Since its formation in 2017, The BIT Collective has looked to promote a safe and equal environment for all involved in traditional music in Scotland.

This research on Safeguarding Young People in Traditional Music is key to understanding the extent of inequalities and discrimination in our community, and to developing a way forward to a safer and more equitable scene for all.

The work provides useful insights for all working with young people in traditional music, from individual practitioners, to organisations and funding and support bodies.
