Keychange

Keychange is a Europe-wide movement led by Reeperbahn Festival, PRS Foundation and Musikcentrum Öst, which aims to support underrepresented artists and encourage organisations to take a pledge for gender equality. Through Keychange, organisations in the music industry can be supported in creating a pledge for gender equality.

The BIT Collective have pledged to:

1. Ensure that upon its formal establishment this year, The BIT Collective board is made up of at least 60% women and gender nonconforming people.

2. Continue to maintain at least 50% women and gender nonconforming people as headliners and hosts of BIT Collective events.

While we are an organisation already campaigning for gender equality, and don’t anticipate that it will be difficult to maintain our pledges, we hope to pave the way for more traditional arts organisations in Scotland to take their own Keychange Pledges.

If your organisation wishes to find out more, email us at thebitcollective1@gmail.com or contact Keychange directly here. We are happy to help you create a pledge that suits your organisation!
